Wahlburgers’ St. Charles Opening Pushed Back To End Of July
The restaurant, owned by Donnie Wahlberg and his brothers, has scrapped several grand openings due to the coronavirus pandemic.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Just days after actor Donnie Wahlberg announced the new Wahlburgers location in his home city was set to reopen this week, the restaurant once again delayed its grand opening.
Company executives said Friday they postponed the opening until the end of July “to make sure they can give guests the best dining experience possible,” according to a report by the Daily Herald.
The restaurant was originally scheduled to open in April before the outbreak of the coronavirus. Restaurant and city officials held a groundbreaking ceremony last spring. Under phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan, the capacity at the restaurant — located at the corner of Route 38 and Randall Road — will be limited, with tables required to be at least 6 feet apart and standing areas reduced.
