Semi Truck Driver Injured in Rollover Crash in Geneva

A semi truck rollover crash on Route 38 caused only minor injuries Tuesday afternoon in Geneva.

The crash occurred on Route 38 east of Kirk Road, according to a city of Geneva press release.

The crash forced authorities to close all eastbound State Street lanes Tuesday afternoon. All lanes were re-opened by 4:30 p.m.

The semi truck was carrying powdered iced tea and there were no hazardous materials involved in the crash, which occurred at about 2:30 p.m., the Kane County Chronicle reports.

The semi truck driver was taken to Delnor Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to the newspaper.
