St. Charles Man Arrested for Car Burglaries in Geneva
The car burglaries occurred last week in Geneva.

A St. Charles man has been arrested for burglarizing at least 10 different vehicles in Geneva last week, according to the Kane County Chronicle.
Christopher Mentenick, 26, of the 100 block of South 18th Street, St. Charles, has been charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools and resisting, the newspaper reports. His bail has been set at $75,000.

Police were first called to the 2600 block of Blackman Drive just before 5 a.m. on Aug. 3 for a report of a man, who police said was later identified as Mentenick, who was inside a vehicle, according to the article.
Police searched for the man, who fled the scene, and later found him hiding in the brush. He lead police on a foot chase before he was taken into custody.
