James F. Roesner was taken into custody at the St. Charles Police Department where he was trying to file a report.

A 35-year-old St. Charles man was arrested after allegedly getting into a scuffle with a police officer Tuesday.
James F. Roesner, of 712 W. Main St., was at the police department at 9:54 a.m. on Tuesday to file a report to request that officers check on a home, according to a St. Charles Police Department press release. Roesner, who police said had a long history of using police to harass the resident, was asked to leave the police department.
He began to argue with police and jabbed his finger toward an officer. As the officer escorted Roesner out, he continued to jab his finger toward the officer, almost hitting him, according to the news release.
