Three Shot in Attempted Robbery at Aurora KFC: Police
Two victims are critically wounded, Aurora police said.

Two people of interest are in custody after three employees at an Aurora KFC restaurant were shot during an attempted robbery Thursday night, police said.
Two of the three employees were critically injured by the gunfire, according to police.

The crime happened at around 8:30 p.m. when two suspects, described only as African-American men, entered the business, 1350 E. New York St., and announced a robbery, police said.
Sometime during the incident, shots were fired, and three male employees — ages 17, 19 and 24 — were hit. The 19- and 24-year-olds were both shot in the torso and are in critical condition, police said. The 17-year-old sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. All three men are from Aurora and are being treated at Aurora hospitals, according to police.

Police said two men, ages 19 and 26, are in custody. Police on Friday morning continued to question the men in connection with the incident.

The incident is the latest incident of gun violence in Aurora, which include four shootings over the last week.
