Update: Rescue Ship Arrives for Batavia Businesswoman, Others Stranded in Antarctic
It'll still be several days before she and an Aurora man can head back to the states. Here's what happened.

A local woman's adventure stuck at sea will likely come to an end next week, according to media reports.
The cruise ship Plancius had an engine failure in the Antarctic Ocean, 1,400 miles from land, and the 73 passengers on board have been waiting 10 days on a South Georgia island.
Janis Christiansen and 15 other Americans have been docked for days, waiting for another cruise ship to pick them up. Bob Bonifas of Aurora, among those in the group, confirmed the ship's arrival to FOX News Chicago this morning (Wednesday, April 18).

Christiansen is president of the Batavia-based FlagSource. She was travelling with Bonifas, 74, who is the founder of Alarm Detection Systems in Aurora.
Bonifas said they had plenty of food and water but could do nothing but wait for the rescue ship to arrive, WGN reports.
