Historian Dan Freas Lectures Sat. Aug. 29 - 2:00 PM. at Glen Ellyn History Ctr.

On Saturday, August 29 at 2:00 PM in the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street, Glen Ellyn, Historian Dan Freas, director Emeritus of Old World Wisconsin, delivers a lecture "The Organ of the Soldiers: An Introduction to the Civil War Camp Newspapers."  The talk highlights Union Army newspapers and how they provide an honest unvarnished look into life of soldiers during the Civil War.
