Glen Ellyn Historical Society Enters GE 4th of July Comm. Contest

This contest is for home and storefront decorating with 4th of July Theme.

Beginning on Saturday, June 27, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society jumped into
the competition created by
the GE 4th of July
Committee's Patriotic Homes and Storefront Decorating Contest. The
GE History Center is glowing with not only red, white and blue
decorations, but some Glen Ellyn History thrown into the mix. Photos
of 4th of July Parades from
the 1800s, Labor Day Parades from the early 1900's and even swimmers
enjoying a cool dip in Lake Ellyn in the early 1900s are
all on exhibit for the townspeople to see. This contest is a great
way for the families to still feel like a celebration is happening on
the 4th
of July.
