Bond Set at $2 Million for Man Charged With Murdering His Cousin
James Hernandez is charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of his cousin on Nov. 20.

Bond has been set at $2 million for a 19-year-old man who has been charged with the murder of his cousin near West Chicago, the Daily Herald reports.
James Hernandez of West Chicago is charged with first-degree murder after police connected him to the murder of his cousin, Enrique Hernandez, Jr., 27, of West Chicago, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Dawn Domrose. Enrique’s body was found lying near the side of the road at about 11 p.m. on Nov. 20 in unincorporated West Chicago.
Enrique was taken to Central DuPage Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The DuPage County Coroner’s Office determined he suffered a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Chicago Sun Times. Enrique was a known gang member and police believe he was targeted.
