Protesters To Rally Against Roskam Outside Debate
More than 1,000 people are expected to protest Roskam outside the debate, organizers said.

CHICAGO, IL — It's prohibited to bring any signs into the debate between Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL 6) and Sean Casten, but there will be plenty of signs outside of the debate tonight in Chicago, where protesters plan to gather to voice their opposition to Roskam. The protest, hosted by such organizations as Indivisible DuPage, Indivisible Chicago, Coalition for a Better Illinois 6th, and Planned Parenthood Illinois Action, will gather at 5 p.m. across the street from Union League Club of Chicago.
The protest's event page calls for a "civil, peaceful" demonstration intended to draw attention to Roskam's "votes to take healthcare away from 700,000 in Illinois while adding $1,700,000,000,000 to the national debt in order to give large corporations (his donors) and billionaires (his donors) tax cuts they don't need."

Organizers said more than 1,000 protesters are likely to show up and that those involved should avoid personal attacks and instead focus on Roskam's voting record and the fact that he has not held an in-person town hall for constituents.
