Sept. 11 Memorial Ceremony Planned At College Of DuPage
The virtual ceremony will be held at 7:30 a.m. via livestream.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — College of DuPage will host a Sept. 11 memorial ceremony to commemorate those lost in the 2001 attacks.
The ceremony, broadcast from Robert J. Miller Homeland Security Education Center, will be conducted via livestream at 7:30 a.m., with a moment of silence held at 7:46 a.m.
Remarks will be made by College of DuPage President Brian Caputo, the college's Homeland Security Training Institute Director Tom Brady and Suburban Law Enforcement Academy Program Manager Tom Ross.

“The Robert J. Miller Homeland Security Education Center is a fitting location to remember the lives of those we lost in the Sept. 11 attacks,” Dr. Caputo said in a news release.
He added, “This building helps prepare future first responders. The center also houses a 1,000-pound beam section from the World Trade Center, which serves as a permanent memorial and a tangible piece of history for our students, faculty, staff and community members.”
