Taste Of Glen Ellyn 2021 To Bring 5 Days Of Fun Starting Aug. 11
The Taste of Glen Ellyn returns Wednesday with a carnival, two stages of live music and plenty of food vendors.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The sounds of live music, the lights of carnival rides and the smell of funnel cakes will fill the air in downtown Glen Ellyn when the Taste of Glen Ellyn returns this week after a year-long hiatus due to coronavirus.
Usually held in May, the festival and carnival will run Aug. 11 through Aug. 15. In addition to a carnival, the festivities will feature two stages of live music, along with local restaurateurs spotlighting their most beloved dishes.
On Aug. 11, Glen Ellyn students and teachers will perform at the event.

Aug. 12 through Aug. 14, live music and line dancing will take over the main stage. Here's a roundup of the acts set to perform on the main stage:

5 p.m.: Kickin' it with Carol Line Dancing
5:30 p.m.: Gone Country
7:30 p.m.: Kickin' it with Carol Line Dancing
8p.m.: 7DEEZ
Aug. 13
6 p.m.: Serendipity
8:30 p.m.: Arra
Aug. 14
12 p.m.: School of Rock Adult & Youth House Bands
6 p.m.: Jenny V and the Flames
8:30 p.m.: Eclipse (Pink Floyd tribute band)
On Aug. 15, spectators can catch local groups performing on the community stage.
Food vendors include:
- Javi's Burritos
- Sushi Ukai
- Barone's
- Lee 'n Eddie's
- Dippin' Dots
- Lee Concessions
- Strawberry Patch
Carnival rides and games will be set up just footsteps from the food vendors. Carnival-goers can buy a wristband ahead of the event and part of the proceeds will fund college scholarships for students at Glenbard South and Glenbard West High Schools.
The Taste of Glen Ellyn has drawn in some 25,000 visitors in the past. After the May 2020 event was canceled due to coronavirus, the fest was rescheduled to Aug. 2020, but postponed once again.
