$10,000 In Vine Damage; Fake ID Used To Get Credit: Blotter
Glenview Police Blotter: June 20 - June 26

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations. Everyone arrested is innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 2300 block of Capitol Drive reported at 4:35 p.m. on June 18 that someone stole donuts and a sport drink worth a combined $20 from the store.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
An employee in the 2500 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 9:08 a.m. on June 19 that someone had used a saw to cut 55 mature vines off of a pergola for a loss of $10,000.
TRESPASSING
An employee in the 2300 block of Capitol Drive reported at 3:06 p.m. on June 19 that had returned to the business after being banned.

THEFT OF LOST OR MISPLACED ITEM
A customer in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 3:06 p.m. on June 19 that someone stole a phone worth $800 after it was left behind on a counter.

An employee in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 4:12 a.m. on June 19 that a customer had driven away without paying for a $4 milkshake at the drive-thru.

An employee of a business in the 900 block of Shermer Road reported at 4:16 p.m. that someone stole a skateboard grinding beam worth $900.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A homeowner in the 2700 block of Sioux Trail reported at 2:41 p.m. on June 21 that someone had removed a mailbox from the ground. The mailbox was later found in a nearby park.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1300 block of Elizabeth Lane reported at 11:11 a.m. on June 22 that someone had opened an unauthorized credit card and made accrued $650 in various charges in the San Francisco Bay Area.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
An employee in the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 10:17 a.m. on June 22 that a customer had caused $1,700 damage to a laptop and water fountain.
UNWANTED PERSON
A resident in the 3700 block of Greenleaf Avenue reported at 5:28 p.m. on June 23 that someone was on their property without permission.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 2100 block of Shermer Road reported at 10:05 a.m. on June 25 that someone opened a telephone account using their personal information without permission. There was no loss reported.
THEFT
An employee in the 1200 block of Waukegan Road reported at 5:16 p.m. on June 25 that someone had stolen $20 from a cash register.
THEFT
A patron at a restaurant in the 1100 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 7:17 p.m. on June 25 that someone had stolen $50 in cash from their wallet while they were eating.
ARRESTS
Victor Mitu, 27, of the 2600 block of Pirates Cove in Schaumburg, was arrested at 3:51 p.m. on June 18 in the 2700 block of Patrior Boulevard and charged with assault.
Rostislav Kislyuk, 40, of the 400 block of Glendale Road in Glenview, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. on June 19 at the Glenview Police Department and charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that took place in the 2200 block of Waukegan Road on May 11.
Robert Punzalan, 40, of the 5200 block of Galitz Street in Skokie was arrested at about 4 p.m. on June 20 in the 0-100 block of Waukegan Road and charged with retail theft.
A 41-year-old Northfield man was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. on June 20 and charged with driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Waukegan Road. He was also cited for failure to yield.
Henry Christopher, 52, of the 6600 block of South Marquette Drive in Chicago, was arrested at 8 p.m. on June 20 in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue and transported to the Glenview Police Department for questioning. At 12:50 a.m. on June 22 he was charged with possession of a fraudulent driver’s license and the possession or display of a fictitious license to obtain credit.
An 18-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 1:13 a.m. on June 21 in the 3500 block of Lake Avenue and charged with speeding between 26 and 34 mph above the limit.
Efrosini Anagnostopoulos, 63, of the 4800 block of West Mulford Way was arrested around 4 p.m. on June 21 and charged with retail theft at Von Maur in the 1900 block of Tower Drive.
Zviadi Matcharachvili, 50, of the 1100 block of South Forums Road in Wheeling, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. on June 21 and charged with driving under the influence of drugs following a traffic stop in the 1200 block of East Lake Avenue. He was also cited for improper lane usage.
A 76-year-old Northfield woman was arrested around 8 p.m. on June 22 near the intersection of Harlem and Colfax avenues and charged with driving without a valid license. She was also issued citations for failure to yield at an intersection and operating an uninsured vehicle.
Jason Perez, 35, of the 4500 block of North Mulligan Avenue in Chicago was arrested at 9:26 p.m. on June 22 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or more following an incident in the 1300 block of Waukegan Road. He was also ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
A 23-year-old Glenview man was arrested shortly before 8 p.m. on June 23 in the 3600 block of West Lake Avenue and charged with driving while license suspended.
