'Lewd Act' In Store Reported; Arrests For Forgery, Theft: Blotter

HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 4500 block of Concord Lane reported at 10:37 a.m. on May 8 that someone stole a telephone from their home for a loss of $20.
SHOPLIFTING
An employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 6:41 p.m. on May 8 that someone had stolen $5 worth of merchandise.

IDENTITY THEFT
An employee in the 2200 block of Waukegan Road reported at 12:13 p.m. on May 9 that someone had bought a watch worth more than $1,000 using a fraudulent credit card.
THEFT
An employee in the 900 block of Shermer Road reported at 8:25 p.m. on May 9 that someone stole a golf cart for a loss of more than $3,000.
CAR BURGLARY
A resident in the 2300 block of Iroquois Drive reported at 7:46 a.m. on May 10 that someone had entered their parked, unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS unit and flashlight worth a combined $230.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a store in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported at 10:11 a.m. on May 11 that someone took 15 cans of cat food from a shelf – reportedly worth $35 – and left the store without paying.
THEFT
A resident in the 1700 block of Wildberry Drive reported at 12:57 p.m. on May 11 that someone had stolen a purse worth $65 from their home.
DISTURBANCE
An employee in the 1300 block of Patriot Drive called the police around 1:11 p.m. on May 11 after a customer yelled and "caused a scene."
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported at 1:48 p.m. on May 11 that someone took frames for eyeglasses worth $290 from a shelf and walked out of the store.
PUBLIC INDECENCY
An employee in the 1900 block of Willow Road reported at 5:26 p.m. on May 11 that a man with his pants down was "committing a lewd act" in the store.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE/COMMERCIAL BURGLARY ATTEMPT
An employee in the 2200 Waukegan Road reported at 3:39 p.m. on May 11 that someone had damaged the locks to the front and rear doors of a business for a repair cost of $1,000.
THEFT
A resident in the 3000 block of Lexington Lane reported at 9:16 a.m. on May 12 that someone had stolen jewelry and money from their home for a loss of over $3,000.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A patron in the 1400 Milwaukee Avenue reported at 10:38 that someone was pounding on the door to their room.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 2400 block of Swainwood Drive reported at 1:52 p.m. on May 12 that someone had opened unauthorized credit accounts using their personal information.
THEFT
A guest in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 3:30 p.m. on May 12 that someone stole cash, a speaker and car keys worth a total of $400.
DISTURBANCE
An employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 12:41 that a customer was causing a disturbance and arguing.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 3:42 p.m. on May 14 that someone stole a White Sox shirt worth $38 from a rack.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported someone stole a flowered shirt worth $40 from the store.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 4:59 p.m. on May 14 that someone had walked out of the store with a screen protector and water bottle worth $105 without paying.
HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 1200 block of Waukegan Road reported at 7:10 p.m. on May 14 that someone had forced a door open and ransacked the residence, although there was no loss reported.
IDENTITY THEFT
An resident in the 2500 block of Independence Avenue reported at 9:23 p.m. on May 14 that someone had used a fraudulent email account to steal more than $300.
ARRESTS
Anthony Lake, 49, of the 0-100 block of West 112th Place in Chicago, was arrested at 10:23 a.m. on May 7 and charged with felony retail theft for reportedly $750 worth of alcohol from the shelf at the Mariano's. Police obtained a warrant to search the car after noticing bottles of booze in his vehicle, which was towed to the police station and searched.
A 33-year-old Glenview woman was arrested at 9:26 p.m. on May 7 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Greenwood Road. She was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle with its registration suspended for not having insurance.
Markeita Goodman, 28, of the 1400 block of Foster Street in Evanston, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. on May 8 at the Glenview Police Station and charged with theft of lost or mislaid property in connection with an April 4 incident that took place in the 100 block of Waukegan Road.
A 24-year-old Elmhurst man was arrested at 11:21 p.m. on May 8 and charged with driving while his license was suspended following a traffic stop near the intersection of Willow and Shermer roads. He was also cited for no insurance.
June Murillo, 53, of the 8500 block of Milwaukee Avenue in Niles, was arrested at 1:27 p.m. on May 9 at the Glenview Police Station and charged with theft of lost or mislaid property in connection with a May 1 incident that took place in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue.
Johnathon Telles-Cedeno, 24, of the 4900 block of Magoun Avenue in East Chicago, Indiana was arrested at 7:53 p.m. on May 8 in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with theft.
Svitlana Skvirskiy, 52, of the 9800 block of Bianco Terrace in Des Plaines, was arrested around 4 p.m. on May 9 in the 0-100 block of Waukegan Road and charged with retail theft.
