GLENVIEW, IL — A former employee of the Glenview Park District, who was arrested in January after being accused of exposing himself to children, is facing four new charges. According to the Glenview Police Department, Zachary Cortes, 24, of the 9800 block Bianco Terrace, Des Plaines, was arrested Tuesday and charged with four felony counts of sexual exploitation stemming from the previous investigation.

Cortes, who had worked as a lifeguard at the Splash Landings Indoor Aquatic Center, had been previously charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of disorderly conduct. He was released following his arrest Tuesday and was due back in court the next day.

On Jan. 22, Cortes was arrested after a parent had reported earlier in the month someone had exposed himself to their child at the Glenview Park Center. Two days prior to his arrest, Glenview police said while they were attempting to identify the offender, they responded to a call from a Glenview Park District employee who said Cortes exposed himself to their child while working as a lifeguard. During a subsequent investigation, it was determined Cortes was the same suspect in both incidents.
