Cigarette Butts Found In Stroller Water Bottle: Glenview PD Blotter
The stroller had been left unattended near a bench at a park, according to police.

SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE

Sashawna Phifer, 43, of the 1600 block of 11th Street, Waukegan, is accused of driving on a suspended driver's license, suspended registration, speeding, and was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Sept. 15, following a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Sanders Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 31.

Michael Gudino, 60, of the 100 block of Harlem Avenue, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 4:27 p.m. Sept. 12, following a traffic crash investigation in the 2700 block of Central Road. He was released and assigned to a court date of Sept. 27.
THEFT
Elizabeth Argento, 55, of the 9800 block of Karlov Avenue, Skokie, is accused of five counts of theft, and was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 12, at the Glenview Police Department. She was assigned a court date of Oct. 17.

INCIDENTS
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A Club Circle resident reported on Sept. 9 being at a park in the 1900 block of Prairie Street at 10:30 a.m. They left their stroller with a water bottle in the open bottom compartment, parked near a bench. They returned to the stroller and took a sip from the water bottle. The water tasted weird and they spit it out. They opened the water bottle and saw two cigarette butts in the water. They did not see anyone near the stroller.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
A business owner in the 1100 block of Waukegan Road reported at 1:25 p.m. Sept. 10, the front doors glass broken and the rear steel door forced open. Several cabinets inside the business had been rummaged through. Police said it was unknown what was taken at the time of the report, and there was no suspect information.
THEFT
- A resident of the 2000 block of Prairie Street reported at 1:37 p.m. Sept. 10, an emerald ring was missing. The estimated loss is $44,000.
- A Northbrook resident reported at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 11, someone had taken their wallet that they left in a relative's room at a business in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The loss is estimated at $35.
- A resident of the 500 block of Huber Lane called police at 2:11 a.m. Sept. 12, to report someone had taken a portrait off their porch valued at $100,000.
- Employees of a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road called police at 8:17 p.m. Sept. 13, to report they saw a couple walk out of the store with a shopping cart full of Tide Pod boxes and did not pay. The duo left in a large metallic gray SUV. Loss estimated at $60.
UNWANTED PERSON
Employees of a business in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 8:03 p.m. Sept. 10, several males drinking in the parking lot outside the business. Officers spoke with the males who were intoxicated and were advised of the Village Ordinance about consuming alcohol in a lot adjacent to a liquor establishment. They agreed to leave without further incident.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Glenview Park District employees reported at 9:56 a.m. Sept. 11, someone had ripped up a 4x4 section of rubberized playground mat in the middle of the playground in the 1900 block of Prairie Street. They could not provide an exact time frame. The repair cost is $1,200.00.
RETAIL THEFT
- The loss prevention agents for a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road reported on Sept. 15 that at 10:22 p.m. Sept. 11, a man and woman used reusable bags to conceal over the counter medications and left the store without paying for the items. They entered a silver Infiniti. The duo were responsible for previous Glenview thefts, in addition to several other jurisdictions, according to police. Total loss is $1,292.60.
- Employees of a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported at 8:32 p.m. Sept. 15, two people — one described as a white male, possibly in their 30s, with a skinny build, about 5-foot-8; and the other a white female, possibly in her 40s, with long, wavy hair, skinny build, about 5-foot-7, wearing a red tank top and blue jeans — loading a shopping cart with merchandise and exited the store without paying for the items. They were near a dark-colored SUV with a license plate beginning with "Z." Employees were able to retrieve the cart of items, and they fled southbound on Waukegan Road. The total amount of recovered merchandise is $597.58.
TRESPASS WARNING
Employees of a business in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard called police at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 15, to report a customer was upset and cursing at staff over not being able to set up a service appointment with the company over the phone. The customer was given a trespass warning not to return to the store and was advised to go to a different location to set up the appointment.
