Countdown Begins For Glenview's 48th Annual Downtown Summer Fest Fair

GLENVIEW, IL — Summer is less than three weeks away on June 20. What better way to kick it off two days later with the return of Glenview's 48th Annual Downtown Summer Fest Fair. This year's event will include more than 80 vendors, booths, free games, health services, home enhancements, gift ideas, and a range of delectable foods and beverages.

Summer Fest Day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 22, on two village blocks of Lehigh, from Glenview Road to Washington. In addition, there will be a special kids' area with balloon artists, carnival-style games, a magician, and a fire pole.

"This event has changed over the years with different locations, different vendors and a different name, but the goal has always been to connect our local businesses with the community. We love to see new faces, as well as old friends," Glenview Chamber Executive Director Meghan Kearney said. "Spaces will be allocated on a first-come basis, we definitely encourage early registration for booths."

At 6 p.m., the street fair transforms into Summer Fest After Sunset Music Fest, a free live music experience. Free to the public, local favorite and headliner, Mad Eye, will perform, along with opening act, Heard Immunity. DJ MoreMusIQ will perform between acts.

"Summer Fest After Sunset will have fun surprises with amazing food vendors, beer/wine, including Coors Light and more will be available for purchase during the outdoor show," Kearney said.
