GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

DRIVING WITHOUT A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Daniel Perdomo, 19, of the 2200 block of Nichols Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving without a valid driver's license, and was arrested at 11:20 p.m. July 17 following a traffic crash investigation in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $2,500 bond and assigned a court date of Aug. 27.

Segun Akinsanya, 24, of the 600 block of West 123rd Street, Chicago, is accused of driving with a suspended license, speeding 15-20 miles over the posted speed limit, operating an uninsured motor vehicle after a traffic stop, and was arrested at 8:45 p.m. July 18 in the 700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $2,500 bond and given a court date of Aug. 27.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
Chirag Patel, 40, of the 9400 block of Meadow Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage after a traffic stop, and was arrested at 9:38 p.m. July 18 after a traffic stop in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE
Tyrone Akons, 28, of the 700 block of 88th Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, driving without headlights, and was arrested at 3:08 a.m. July 20 following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Laramie Avenue. He was released on a $2,500 bond and assigned a court date of Aug. 13.

IDENTITY THEFT
The Glenview Police Department included 22 incidents of identity theft complaints regarding unemployment benefits. Police indicated to Patch that the Illinois Department of Employment Security has updated its website pertaining to the numerous identity theft complaints of people reporting a false claim filed in their name. The IDES now has a specific fraud alert link which will take the victim to a page with a contact number for IDES. The link is below. DISORDERLY CONDUCT
- An employee of a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard called police at 9 p.m. July 14 to report someone defecated on the bathroom floor and was yelling profanities in the store.
- An employee of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 1:26 a.m. July 21 a group of 60 people, between the ages of 20-30, were dancing and shouting in the parking lot and standing on cars shouting obscenities.
CURFEW
Four 15-year-old boys from Glenview and Northbrook were seen riding bikes at 2:08 a.m. July 15 near Willow Road and Waterview Drive. They were issued an ordinance violation for curfew and turned over to a parent.
TRESPASS
- An employee in the 1800 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 7:29 a.m. July 17 someone was on the property without permission
- An employee in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 1:16 p.m. July 19 to report someone was sleeping in the stairwell without permission.
THEFT
- A resident in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive reported at 11:22 a.m. July 17 someone stole a bike from the parking garage sometime between May 1 and July 4. The reported loss is $260.
- A Linneman Street resident called police at 1:22 p.m. July 17 to report being contacted by someone who said to send gift cards to avoid arrest. Gift cards were purchased and the numbers were sent to the caller. The reported loss is $6,000.
- A resident in the 1000 block of Raleigh Road reported at 5:24 p.m. July 18 someone stole the front license plate off their vehicle. The reported loss is $300.
- A resident in the 3900 block of Chester Drive called police at 11:50 a.m. July 20 to report someone started a remodeling project and failed to complete it. The reported loss is $3,800.
HARASSMENT THROUGH ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
- A Henley Street resident reported at 11:42 a.m. July 17 receiving unwanted messages over social media.
- A Chester Drive resident called police at 8:30 a.m. July 19 to report receiving disturbing text messages.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- An employee of the Glenview Park District reported at 1:37 p.m. July 17 damage to the rubber surface on the playground at Community Park West, 1001 Zenith Drive. The reported loss is $2,800.
- An employee of the Glenview Park District called police at 8:56 a.m. July 20 to report someone broke the glass in the stairwell doors at the garage at 2700 block of Aviator Lane. There was also graffiti painted on a nearby wall. The reported loss is $1,000.
BURGLARY
- A resident in the 1000 block of Arbor Lane called police at 6:42 p.m. July 19 to report someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and searched the interior. Nothing was taken and there is no loss.
- A resident in the 1000 block of Arbor Lane reported at 7:11 p.m. July 19 someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and searched the interior. A radar detector was taken from inside. The reported loss is $500.
- A resident in the 1000 block of Heatherfield Lane called police at 9:06 a.m. July 20 to report someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and took cash and credit cards. The reported loss is $40.
- A resident in the 1100 block of Arbor Lane reported at 12:27 p.m. July 20 someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway between July 18-20 and took a key from inside. The reported loss is $5.
- A resident in the 900 block of Arbor Lane called police at 1:56 p.m. July 20 to report someone entered a vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and took a wallet. The reported loss is $255.
- A property manager in the 1800 block of Elmdale Road reported at 2:33 p.m. July 20 someone damaged an access window and entered the building sometime since July 10. Drug paraphernalia was found in an interior room. The amount of loss is unknown.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive called police at 2:30 p.m. July 20 to report someone entered the store, grabbed an unknown amount of purses displayed for sale and left the store without paying. The reported loss is $1,500.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 3800 block of La Fontaine Drive reported at 3:05 p.m. July 20 two people entered their house and said there was a problem with the water. One of them went to a bedroom and stole jewelry cash and documents. The reported loss is $5,500.
BATTERY
An employee of a business in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 3:06 p.m. July 20 to report seeing a man push a woman at the entrance to the hospital.
