Customer Throws Milk Bottle After Store Toss: Glenview Police Blotter
The customer was asked to leave the business after reaching over the counter following a purchase, according to police.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Three people are accused of battery, and were arrested at 7:47 p.m. Nov. 6, following the investigation into a disturbance in the 20 block of Waukegan Road:
- Jose Gonzalez, 24, 8800 block of Washington Street, Niles
- Dhrushal Gada, 24, 9200 block of Maple Lane, Des Plaines
- Arxontis Melissanis, 24, of the 7800 block of Nordica Avenue, Niles
They were all released on bond and assigned a court date of Dec. 14.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Kristen Barry, of the 4000 block of Fairway Drive, Wilmette, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, endangering the life/health of a child, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 5:31 p.m. Nov. 2, following the investigation of a traffic crash in the 1700 block of Glenview Road. She was released on bond and was assigned a court date of Nov. 28.
- Andrew Smith, 61, of the 1500 block of Oak Street, Evanston, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, improper lane usage, failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle or property, and was arrested at 9:56 p.m. Nov. 2. He was released on bond and was assigned a court date of Dec. 1.
RECKLESS HOMICIDE
Alina Jacek, 55, of the 800 block of E. Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights, is accused of reckless homicide, speeding more than 35 mph over the speed limit, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, and was arrested at 6:45 p.m. Nov. 3, following the investigation into a crash from earlier this year. THEFT
Lamar Wimberly, 55, of the 9900 block of Linda Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of retail theft following an investigation into an incident reported on Sept. 6 in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue, and was arrested while in custody at the Wheeling Police Department. They were taken to a bond hearing on Nov. 4.

THEFT
- A Church Street resident reported that at 11:20 a.m. Nov. 1, getting a phone call from Amazon support reference an iPhone that was purchased and their social security number. The resident sent the caller bitcoin to solve the issue, then recognized the transaction as fraudulent and called the Police.
- An employee of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 1:15 p.m. Nov. 1, to report a customer entered the business office and stole construction equipment.
- A resident in the 2300 block of Iroquois Drive reported on Nov. 5 that at 10 a.m. Oct. 28, someone stole their wallet while they were shopping at a business in the 3700 block of Willow Road. The offender used the resident's credit cards to make 10 transactions at unknown locations.
- A Northbrook resident reported at 12:27 p.m. Nov. 6, a lock cut off a locker at a business in the 3800 block of Willow Road and cash missing from a wallet.
- A Niles resident called police at 12:58 p.m. Nov. 6, to report their unattended purse was stolen from a business in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE
A resident was cited at 9:35 p.m. Nov. 1, for driving on a suspended driver's license, following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Grove Street. They were released on bond with a court date set for Dec. 15.
FRAUD
An employee of a business in the 2400 block of Glenview Road reported at 8:55 a.m. Nov. 2, being scammed by a telephone caller to whom they sent several bitcoin transactions and cash from a personal account.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
- A resident was cited at 4:24 p.m. Nov. 2, under village ordinance for disorderly conduct following the investigation of a disturbance at a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road.
- An employee of a business in the 3400 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 9:20 p.m. Nov. 5, to report a customer was observed reaching over the counter after making a purchase. The customer was asked to leave the business and was seen throwing a small plastic bottle of milk at the front door of the business.
SPEEDING
- An Evanston resident was cited at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 3, for speeding (26-34 mph over the speed limit), following a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Winnetka Road. They were released on bond with a court date set for Dec. 1.
- A resident was cited at 3:56 p.m. Nov. 7, for speeding (26-34 mph over the speed limit), following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Harlem Avenue. They were released on bond with a court date set for Nov. 28.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
A Chicago resident was cited at 1:15 a.m. Nov. 4, for driving with no valid driver's license, speeding, following a traffic stop at Willow Road and Sanders Road. They were released on bond with a court date set for Jan. 23, 2023.
FORGERY
A resident in the 2400 block of Violet Street reported at 10:39 a.m. Nov. 4, mailing a check from the Glenview Post Office. The check was intercepted in the mail and cashed to an unknown person.
A resident in the 200 block of Glendale Road called police at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 5, to report a check made out to ComEd and mailed from the Glenview Post Office was intercepted and cashed in a different name for a different amount.
NOISE ORDINANCE
A resident in the 0-100 block of North Branch Road was issued a village ordinance citation at 8:37 p.m. Nov. 5, for the noise ordinance after multiple complaints were taken for excessively loud music.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 1000 block of Castilian Court called police at 9 p.m. Nov. 7, to report that at some time over the last few weeks an unknown person entered their home, by using force on the front door, and stole jewelry.
