Former Worker Threatens To Kill Employees: Glenview Police Blotter
Police said the ex-worker told them over the phone that they were being harassed before hanging up on an officer.

Freddy M. Gonzalez-Mirabal, 39, of the 9900 block of Holly Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of leaving the scene of an accident with an injury, operating an uninsured motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failure to give aid or information, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to report a crash to police, and was arrested May 30 at the Glenview police station. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident on April 30 in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

Davion Benson, 32, of the 1100 block of Railroad Avenue, Rockford, is accused of obstructing identification, drinking in public, had a warrant out of Tazewell County, and was arrested at 10:53 p.m. May 28, in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident that occurred in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT
Edgar Juan Marcos, 31, of the 300 block of 7th Street, Wheeling, is accused of felony leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give aid, failure to report accident to police, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 9:10 a.m. May 28, following an investigation into a crash that had occurred earlier in the day.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Luke Lee, 25, of the 3400 block of Maple Leaf Drive, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no insurance, failure to proceed with caution through a construction zone, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 7:01 a.m. May 29, in the 3300 block of Maple Leaf Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of June 17.

INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
Graffiti was found at 9:47 a.m. May 27, at a playground in the 1800 block of Maplewood Lane.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident of the 300 block Hager Lane reported that during the overnight hours of May 27, someone had broken the rear passenger side window of their vehicle. Nothing appeared to be taken from the vehicle.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Employees of a business in the 2200 block of Waukegan Road reported at 4:39 p.m. May 28, receiving a phone call from a former business partner who told them to stop talking about them and that they would kill them. Officers spoke with the former employee who said they are being harassed and then hung up the phone on officers. Extra watch was requested for the business.
TRESPASS WARNING
- Employees of a business in the 1700 block of Glenview Road called police at 9:28 a.m. May 29, to report a customer came in advising they tipped the wrong amount and felt they were overcharged. They became belligerent with staff after they said they would need to contact a manager. The customer was issued a refund and given a trespass warning not to return to the store.
- A business reported a Schaumburg resident was in a private parking lot in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road at 2:59 p.m. May 31, holding up a sign asking for food and rent money. The property manager wanted them to be given a trespass warning, which they were by officers. The person understood and moved to the public sidewalk along Waukegan Road.
THEFT
A resident in the 3200 block of Ronald Road called police at 11:34 a.m. May 29, to report purchasing items from someone off Facebook Marketplace. They sent half the money for the purchase and the seller said they would send the items but would not send a shipping number. The resident found information online that the seller is a known scammer. The resident wants the items or their money back.
STOLEN VEHICLE
A business owner in the 3200 block of West Avenue reported on May 30 that earlier in the month, someone had purchased a vehicle through a business in New York and paid to have it shipped. The courier company they hired sent an employee to pick up the vehicle, but it has not been delivered. Calls to the courier company go directly to voicemail, and they have not had the calls returned. Estimated loss is $9,200.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road called police at 3:02 p.m. May 30, to report someone had stolen several items and was in the business. The employee explained they observed the person pay for some items in their cart but left the store without paying for several others, totaling $168.77. The person said they forgot to pay for them because they were in the bottom of the cart. They were issued a Village Ordinance citation for theft and given a trespass warning.
UNWANTED PERSON
A business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported at 5:26 p.m. May 31, that a Northfield resident had several alcoholic drinks and was disturbing customers. Employees wanted the person to leave, but did not want a trespass warning issued at this time. They left without incident.
THEFT OVER $500
A resident in the 1400 block of Plymouth Place reported at 5:41 p.m. May 31, a bicycle was stolen from the front yard on May 26. On May 31, an officer located the bicycle in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road. There was no camera angle to see how the bicycle got there. The bicycle was returned to the owner.
