Group Grabs Over $3,000 In Clothes From The Glen: Glenview Crimes

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

IDENTITY THEFT
An employee at a business in the 1600 block of Waukegan Road reported at 10:06 a.m. on Dec. 5 that someone had entered the shop and bought $2,100 worth of merchandise with a fraudulent debit and credit card.

IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1724 Constitution Drive reported at 1:13 p.m on Dec. 5 that had someone filed a fraudulent application for a loan using their personal information. There is no known loss at this time.

TRESPASS
An employee in the 1400 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 6:55 p.m. on Dec. 5 that someone was on the property without permission.

BURGLARY
A resident in the 3200 block of Sanders Road reported at 1:52 p.m. on Dec. 6 that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle in a parking lot and stole a gym bag, documents and money worth a total of $150.

BURGLARY
A contractor in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 3:27 p.m. on Dec. 6 that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle that had been parked behind a business, stealing an air compressor and a generator worth more than $300 from inside.

THEFT
An employee in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road reported around 5 p.m. on Dec. 6 that someone had taken a purse worth $150 from a workstation.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 2300 block of Lindenleaf Drive reported receiving an unwanted communication over social media.

IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1400 block of Estate Lane reported at 1:12 p.m. on Dec. 7 that someone opened a fraudulent credit card account using their personal information without authorization. There is no reported loss.

THEFT OF LOST PROPERTY
A customer in the 2700 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 1:14 p.m. on Dec. 7 that someone took a cell phone worth $200 that had been left at the business.

TRESPASS
An employee in the 1900 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 2:37 p.m. on Dec. 7 that someone had been on the property without authorization.

RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 6:54 p.m. on Dec. 7 that someone had left the store without paying for $40 worth of clothing.

UNWANTED SUBJECT
An employee in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported vehicles were parked on the property without authorization at 1:56 a.m. on Dec. 8.

IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1400 block of Burr Oak Drive reported at 10:10 a.m. on Dec. 8 that someone had made several fraudulent purchases totaling $1,500 using their credit account.

IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 1300 block of Sanford Lane reported at 11:41 a.m. on Dec. 9 that someone spent $1,300 in unauthorized purchases using their credit account.

THEFT
A resident in the 1900 George Court reported at 12:17 p.m. on Dec. 9 that someone had stolen $10,000 worth of jewelry from a residence.

RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 8:34 p.m. on Dec. 9 that someone took $30 worth of alcohol from the shelf and walked out of the store without paying.

THEFT
An employee in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 2:10 p.m. on Dec. 10 that someone stole a television worth $400 from a room.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An employee in the 2300 block of Ravine Way reported at 2:21 p.m. on Dec. 10 that someone had made threatening posts on social media.

SOLICITOR COMPLAINT
An employee in the 2600 block of Navy Boulevard reported at 7:44 p.m. on Dec. 10 that someone had been soliciting for money without a permit.

RETAIL THEFT
An employee at Dick's Sporting Goods at The Glen Town Center, in the 1900 block of Tower Drive, reported that at least eight people ran into the store, grabbed more than $3,000 worth of a wide variety clothing off the racks and ran out without paying around 9:53 p.m. on Dec. 10. A 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, both from Chicago, were both charged with retail theft, referred to juvenile court and each released to a parent.

THEFT
A resident in the 300 block of Glenview Road reported at 11:46 a.m. on Dec. 11 that someone took more than $3,000 from a savings account without authorization.

THEFT
A patron in the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 3:07 p.m. on Dec. 11 that someone took cash and credit cards from a locker for a reported loss of $190.


ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Kerri Comptis, 39, of the 2400 block of Brandenberry Court, Arlington Heights, was arrested at 2:53 p.m. on Dec. 5 and charged with criminal damage to property in the 3600 block of West Lake Avenue.

Erich Dethloff, 44, of the 10300 block of Dearlove Road, Glenview, was arrested at 9:37 p.m. on Dec. 5 and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was also issued citations for failure to signal when required and operating an uninsured vehicle after police pulled him over in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

Julie Tolmatsky, 53, of the 700 block of Prestwick Lane, Wheeling, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. on Dec. 6 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration over 0.08. She was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage after police pulled her over in the 1800 block of Landwehr Road.

Nicholas Lykins, 21, of the 1900 block of Chestnut Avenue, Glenview, was arrested at 8:35 p.m. on Dec. 6 in the 1800 block of Chestnut Avenue on a Cook County sheriff’s police warrant for failure to appear in court.

John Konstantinov, 39, of the 8900 block of Heathwood Circle, Niles, was arrested at 4:15 a.m. on Dec. 7 and charged with criminal trespass to property after an investigation in the 2300 block of Capital Drive.

Amy Carlson, 43, of the 4700 block of Kimball Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. on Dec. 8 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08, and failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle. She was also issued citations for an unsafe U-turn and improper lane usage as the result of an investigation into a traffic crash in the 1000 block of Greenwood Road.

A 63-year-old Wilmette man was arrested at 8:26 p.m. on Dec. 9 charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, failure to surrender a suspended driver’s license and operating a vehicle with expired registration after police pulled him over in the 700 block of Waukegan Road.

Jessica Rigsby, 49, and Monique Rigsby, 29, each of the 1900 block of Manhattan Drive in Waukesha, Wisconsin were both arrested at 12:55 p.m. on Dec. 10 at Von Maur at the Glen Town Center in the 1900 block of Tower Drive and charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing various items of clothing including a women's top. Monique, who had an active shoplifting warrant issued by DuPage County, was also charged with obstruction of a peace officer.
