Man Makes Racist Remarks, Points Gun At Visitor: Glenview Pd Blotter
The man reportedly told the Alabama resident to "go back to Africa," according to police.

Aliasadullah Faisal, 25, of the 9500 block of Sumac Road, Des Plaines, is accused of disorderly conduct, manufacturing/delivery of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance, and was arrested at 8:51 a.m. Sept. 20, in the 4000 block of Crestwood Drive.

Cecilia Perez, 33, of the 2800 block of 30th Street, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful possession of cannabis, disobeying a traffic control light, and was arrested at 4:43 a.m. Sept. 21, in the 1800 block of Greenwood Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 31.
LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT
Carlos Zarate, 34, of the 600 block of Tamarisk Lane, Crystal Lake, is accused of leaving the scene of an accident, and was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Glenview Police Department. The arrest following a traffic crash investigation from Aug. 9 in a parking lot in the 800 block of Shermer Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 31.

INCIDENTS
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
An Alabama resident reported at 1:28 p.m. Sept. 17, they had an encounter with a male in the U.S. Post Office parking lot, 1400 Patriot Blvd., in which the male told them to "Go back to Africa." They said he followed them eastbound on East Lake, causing them to pull off into the parking lot at 1400 Waukegan Road. At this time, the male, while still on East Lake, pulled out a gun and pointed it at them.
IDENTITY THEFT
- A Chatham Road resident called police at 4:12 p.m. Sept. 17, to report they had received a check from Chase Bank, addressed to them, in the amount of $738. The check was drawn from an account belonging to the University of Phoenix. They contacted the school which said it was likely from a loan. They had no prior affiliation with the school and were told they would need to complete an affidavit in order to obtain further information.
- A Warren Road resident reported at 7:40 p.m. Sept. 19, receiving a bill from Verizon for $134.49, but they do not have a Verizon account. The company said a phone was purchased at Walmart, either in Skokie or Merrillville, Indiana.
- A Pickwick Lane resident reported at 9:13 a.m. Sept. 20, someone had used their personal information to open multiple accounts with Regions Bank and Verizon. No loss had been reported at the time of the report.
- A resident of the 4500 block of Concord Lane called police at 4:57 p.m. Sept. 20, to report someone had opened several medical insurance claims in their names over the past several months. The claims totaled around $6,000 dollars.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
Employees of a business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 7:36 p.m. Sept. 17, they were scratched by a patient while attempting to bring them back into the facility. The patient was admitted for in-patient treatment due to dementia. The employees refused to provide further personal identifying information and did not wish to sign complaints.
THEFT
- A Heatherfield Lane resident called police at 11:36 a.m. Sept. 16, to report four Taylor Swift tickets were in their Ticketmaster account since Aug. 11, 2023, on Sept. 11, 2024, someone transferred the tickets to two different Gmail accounts. The tickets are valued at $2,874 each.
- A Northbrook resident reported that between 6 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. Sept. 19, their bicycle had been stolen from outside a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road. The bicycle is dark blue, with a grey basket and white wheels. Total loss is $240.
- A Chicago resident reported at 10:53 a.m. Sept. 20, a friend had stolen $400 from them while they were both at a business in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Ave. The friend denied taking the money.
- A resident in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive called police on Sept 20 to report that at 6:26 p.m. Sept. 3, someone had stolen a package from the mail room area. Total loss was around $200.
- A resident of the 900 block of Raleigh Road called police on Sept. 21 to report that between Sept. 13 and Sept. 16, someone had stolen a large brown package containing a mirror from their front porch area.
BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE
An employee of a business in the 2400 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 8:35 a.m. Sept. 18, they had parked their vehicle in the lot after withdrawing cash from an ATM machine. A male wearing a black hoodie came out of the bushes and tried opening the car door, but the car alarm went off. A customer of the business yelled at the male, who then ran away from the scene.
TRESPASSING
Employees of a business in the 2100 block of Willow Road reported at 6 p.m. Sept. 19, a male with a baby in a stroller, was asking people for money near the entrance of the store. Officers were unable to locate the male. Employees asked for him to be given a trespass warning if located due to the person previously being told not to return by staff.
TRESPASS WARNING
Employees of a business in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 5:37 p.m. Sept. 19, a customer was swearing at them through the drive thru speaker after miscommunication about their order due to a language barrier. The customer left the scene prior to police arrival. Offices spoke with the customer over the phone and gave them a trespass warning not to return.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE/HATE CRIME
A resident in the 2200 block of Glenview Road called police at 11:38 a.m. Sept. 20, to report someone had removed a pride flag from their front porch and threw it in the street.
BATTERY
Employees of a business in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 12:52 p.m. Sept. 22, a verbal confrontation with a guest regarding ice bags and noise complaints had occurred. Another person got in the middle of the argument and pushed the employee's arm away. There were no injuries and the person denied the incident, saying the staff was giving them a hard time.
UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON
An employee of a business in the 4600 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 8:49 p.m. Sept. 22, a customer in a blue Chevrolet Camaro with a white racing stripe was rude in the drive-thru. When the car pulled to the window, the driver and passenger asked the employee if they had a problem and asked if they wanted to "take this somewhere." The employee told them they would not serve them and told them to leave. The passenger pulled out a black pistol and pointed it up in the air. The vehicle fled the scene.
FRAUD
Employees of a business in the 500 block of Waukegan Road called police at 11:09 a.m. Sept. 23, to report a person in a red sedan, possibly a Toyota, completed an order in the drive-thru on two occasions, at 1:52 p.m. and 2:24 p.m. For both orders, the person used a counterfeit $100 bill and received $77.63 cash back for the first transaction, in addition to $89.60 cash back for the second.
