Man Shot In Abdomen During Meeting Outside Glenview Home: Police

A 23-year-old Glenview man was shot while meeting with three people in what appeared to be a light-colored Buick Saturday, police said.

GLENVIEW, IL — A man who was found shot in the abdomen Saturday in Glenview is not cooperating with investigators, police said. Around 7:45 p.m., police were dispatched to home the 1900 block of Palmgren Drive for a report that someone had just been shot. Police said neighbors and several other people in the house told officers they had heard gunshots.

Officers learned a 23-year-old man had gone outside to meet someone, according to a release from Glenview police. He ran back inside a short time later and told the 911 caller that he had just been shot, police said.

He described his attackers as group of three men in what may have been a light-colored Buick LeSabre, police said. The shooter appeared to be between 20 and 30 years old. The man was taken to Lutheran General Hospital and appeared to be in stable condition Sunday, according to police.

Glenview police said the victim was not being cooperative and had declined to provide any additional information or allow detectives to look at the contents of his cellphone. Police do not believe there is an ongoing danger to the public, according to the release.
