Woman Demands $1K, Threatens Resident After Snapchat Exposure: Blotter

- Sirjerathan Wilson, 30, of the 5900 block of S. Indiana Avenue, Chicago, is accused of burglary, and was arrested at 12:22 a.m. May 26, in the 1500 block of Executive Lane. Police responded to an in-progress burglary call at a business in the 1900 block of Pickwick Avenue. Wilson was taken to the Skokie Courthouse for a May 28 bond hearing.
- Dajionae Jones, 23, of the 6800 block of Ridgeland Avenue, Chicago, is accused of disorderly conduct (making a false 911 call), obstructing identification driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 12:22 a.m. May 26, in the 1500 block of Executive Lane. Police responded to an in-progress burglary call at a business in the 1900 block of Pickwick Avenue. Jones was taken to the Skokie Courthouse for a May 28 bond hearing.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Valentine Gandarilla, 35, of the 10000 block of Frontage Road, Skokie, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of cannabis by a driver, and was arrested at 3:13 p.m. May 28, after an investigation in the 1700 block of Waukegan Road. Gandarilla was taken to Skokie Courthouse for bond hearing. Court date set for June 10.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Martin Moya, 57, of the 2800 block of S. Homan Avenue, Chicago, is accused of no valid driver's license, suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, passing a school bus loading/unloading, and was arrested at 3:33 p.m. May 25, following a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Central Road. He was released after posting $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of July 13.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Adil Sikander, 19, of the 600 block of Napels Court, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without lights when required, and was arrested at 9:56 p.m. May 26, following a traffic stop in the 3900 block of Triumvera Drive. He was released after posting $1,000 bond and was assigned a court date of July 12.
- Gibran Herrera-Herrera, 24, of the 5300 block of W. North Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 6:56 p.m. May 24, following a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond and was assigned a court date of June 8.
WARRANT
Jamal Steele, 23, of the 5100 block of W. Washington Boulevard, had five outstanding warrants for robbery, possession of controlled substances, domestic battery, aggravated battery, escape, and was arrested at 10:33 p.m. May 24, following an investigation of an incident in the 900 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was held for a bond hearing.

INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Police found two damaged double pane windows at 2:43 p.m. May 24, at a property in the 1900 block of East Lake Avenue. Officers were unable to make contact with the property owner.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Glenview resident reported at 3:13 p.m. May 24, they received two Illinois registration plates in the mail. Their credit report showed an unknown offender used their identity to purchase a 2022 Kia Stinger for $52,298 in Augusta, Georgia.
SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE
- A Southaven, Missouri resident was cited at 10:20 p.m. May 25, for driving while license suspended, improper lighting (one headlamp) following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date set for June 8.
- A Northbrook resident was cited for driving with a suspended driver's license, at 3:54 p.m. May 29, in the 3700 block of Willow Road. They were released on an I-bond.
HARASSMENT BY TELEPHONE
A Glenview resident reported at 6:37 p.m. May 25, a man, who identified themselves as from the Federal Trade Commission, called and said their identity had been compromised. The resident received five phone calls from this number.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
- A Glenview resident called police to report that between May 25 and May 26, someone stole the catalytic converter from their vehicle while it was parked in the 1100 block of Depot Street.
- A person reported at 2 p.m. May 30, someone stole the catalytic converter from their vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
BURGLARY
- The owner of a business in the 2200 block of Waukegan Road reported that at 1:50 a.m. May 26, someone threw a rock through the front door of the business and stole numerous items from inside the business.
- The Glenview Fire Department received a fire alarm at 5:54 p.m May 29, at a business in the 1800 block of Tower Drive. Upon arrival, they found an open door on the west side of the building. They entered the building and found a fire extinguisher surrounded by dry powder.
THEFT
- A Glenview resident reported that on May 16, they discovered a Cartier watch and a 14-karat gold bracelet were stolen from their home.
- A Glenview resident called police at 8:06 p.m. May 26, their unlocked bicycle was stolen from a bike rack in the 2500 block of Chestnut Avenue.
- A Glenview resident reported at 12:58 p.m. May 27, they received a call from a woman claiming to be from Amazon regarding a wire transfer. The victim spoke to a male subject name “James Anderson” claiming to be a Senior U.S. Treasury Investigator. Anderson advised the victim they were under federal investigation for wire fraud. Anderson directed them to withdraw $20,650 in cash from their bank and deposit it into a Bitcoin machine, which they did.
- A Buffalo Grove resident called police at 4:05 p.m. May 29, the theft of an Apple iPhone 12, stolen during a social gathering at a residence in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive.
- A Chicago resident reported at 4:05 p.m. May 29, the theft of a bag, containing an Apple iPhone 12, stolen during a social gathering at a residence in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive.
- A West Chicago resident called police at 4:05 p.m. May 29, to report the theft of a wallet stolen during a social gathering at a residence in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive.
BURGLARY TO AUTO
A Glenview resident reported at 11:52 a.m. May 27, someone entered their vehicle while it was parked in the driveway. The offender broke off the steering column wiper control arm and left it on top of the driver seat.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
A Glenview resident was cited at 7:45 p.m. May 27, for no valid driver’s license, speeding, after a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Lehigh Avenue. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date set for June 28.
SPEEDING
A Morton Grove resident was cited at 2:31 a.m. May 28, for speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, following a traffic =stop in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released on an I-bond with a court date set for July 13.
INTIMIDATION
A Glenview resident reported at 10:27 p.m. May 28, they added an unknown female on Snapchat named. During a face-time call, they accidentally showed the female their genitals. The female demanded $1,000 and threatened to send the pictures to family and friends. No money was sent.
