Fox Lake's Land and Lake Days with Tattoo Fest
Friday, August 19th - Sunday, August 21st at Lakefront Park enjoy the great outdoors by land or lake with live music, food, & drinks

FOX LAKE, IL (August 19-21, 2016) – The Village of Fox Lake invites the entire community and outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate all things land and lake at the inaugural Fox Lake Land & Lake Days including a Tattoo and Body Arts Pavilion at Lakefront Park, Friday, August 19th through Sunday, August 21st.
The three-day FREE festival kicks off on Friday at 4pm with the day culminating at dusk with the annual “Movie by the Lake”. Sticking with the land and lake theme, the Village invites the public to come see the movie Jaws with the screen viewable by land or lake. On Sunday, Land & Lake Days will feature the 19th Annual Cardboard Boat Race kicking off at noon. Throughout the three-day fest there will be a Tattoo and Body Art pavilion, as local body art professionals will be onsite showcasing their handiwork. Additionally, Land & Lake Days will feature everything outdoors from boats (in water and on land), motorcycles, cars, live music and entertainment, pony rides, petting zoo, kid’s activities and more! There will also be a fabulous selection of food and drinks from local restaurants, food trucks and beverage vendors.
For those feeling adventurous, four esteemed tattoo artists will be onsite along with Laine Too and TAT4U offering temporary body art adornments, as well as Bee Giggles Entertainment doing face painting, balloon twisting and caricatures. Studio 25 Art Creations will be onsite creating an interactive art mosaic collaboration with the community, painting tiles to be installed on an art wall in town. LaJoy Precision Inc. Custom Guns and Gunsmithing will host laser pistol games and British Swim School will offer ring toss games! Ben Watts Marina, Fox Lake Harbor, and Great Lakes Yacht will showcase boats, Raymond Chevrolet will exhibit vehicles and Woodstock Harley is bringing along some motorcycles. Big Daddy Dogs, Heartland Foodservice, Popcorn Jester and Jammin’ Concessions will be onsite to satisfy the palates of the crowd.

Friday, August 19th, 4-11 p.m.:

4-9 p.m.: Kicking off the three-day event, food/drink vendors will be onsite catering to the crowd.
4-9 p.m.: DJ Bob from SoundWave Entertainment will entertain the community with live karaoke, dancing, and impromptu performances from hand selected individuals in the crowd!
Dusk: “Movie By the Lake” screening of Jaws. Attendees can enjoy the movie from their cars, boats, or on the lawn. Free popcorn will be provided!
Saturday, August 20th, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.:
10 a.m. - 9 p.m.: Full day event, food/drink vendors and body art professionals will be on-site.
11 a.m.-12 p.m: Animal Farm Band, this group of musician educators will be onsite providing music and laughter for the entire family!
12:30-2:30 p.m.: The Allstars is a self-described 5 member circus of good times and great music performing fun, party music and unique versions of classics!
3-5 p.m.: Nashville Electric Company- THE Country band, they will be brining the fun times, country music and country attitude!
6-8 p.m.: Piano Man Productions Billy Joel and Elton John Tribute duo is one of the most authentic tribute performances in the country performing hit after hit!
Sunday, August 21st, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.:
8 a.m.: 19th annual Cardboard Boat Race onsite boat building and registration begins. Boat registration is $30 and includes a building kit.
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Full day event, food/drink vendors and body art professionals will be on-site.
10 a.m.- 2 p.m.: DJ on-site as Cardboard Boat racers prepare and race and spectators cheer!
12 – 2 p.m.: The Cardboard Boat Race is on!
2-3 p.m.: Carnival of Curiosity and Chaos Spectacle Troupe will provide original entertainment that pushes the boundaries of performance art with a multitude of acts including circus, sideshow and fire alongside carnival games and ambiance.
3-5 p.m.: Infinity “Classic to Current: The Ultimate Rock Experience” is one of the top drawing cover bands in the Midwest having performed over two decades and still going strong!
“There truly is something for everyone at Land & Lake Days,” says Amy Serafin, Village of Fox Lake Parks and Recreation Coordinator. “Our community embraces every summer day, taking advantage of our surroundings that serve as a perfect backdrop for any outdoor event. We encourage everyone to come out an savor the last of our summer days with us during this fun three-day event!
Land & Lake Days is an event for the whole family, though parental guidance is advised during the later hours. The event is free to attend, with food and beverages for sale from local vendors.
