96-Year Old Shoplifter Nabbed by Highland Park Police: Cops

A 96-year-old Highland Park woman faces a charge of retail theft after an alleged incident last Monday at a local business.

According to police, Muriel Kahn, of the 1200 block of Park Avenue West, was arrested at 6:01 p.m. on October 12 after police were called to the business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road in reference to a call of a shoplifter at the business.

Following her arrest, Kahn was released on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 28.
