Package Stolen From Marion Avenue Doorstep: Cops

Police made an arrest for excessive speeding on the Edens Expressway early Sunday morning.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

SPEEDING 35+ MPH OVER LIMIT
Corey B. Wells Jr., 21, Chicago was arrested and charged with speeding 35+ mph over the limit after being stopped by police in 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road at 12:31 a.m. on Oct. 4.

RETAIL THEFT
Christopher A. Bernardi, 30, Lake Forest was arrested and charged with retail theft after police responded to a complaint in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road at 11:23 p.m. on Oct. 5.

SPEEDING 35+ MPH OVER LIMIT
Brian J. Guifarro, 24, Round Lake Beach was arrested and charged with speeding 35+ mph over the limit after being stopped by police in 200 block of Edens Expressway at 3:28 a.m. on Oct. 9.

THEFT
On Oct. 3, a man was reported to steal a coat from a business located in the 2300 block of Skokie Valley Road.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On Oct. 4, it was reported that an unknown individual(s) drove a vehicle on the lawn of a private residence approximately one week ago causing damage to the sod near the curb.

THEFT
On Oct. 8, it was reported that an unknown individual(s) stole a package that was left on the doorstep of a private residence located in the 700 block of Marion Avenue on Oct. 6 at approximately 3:55 p.m.
