Charges Filed Against Hinsdale South Student who Brought BB Gun to School

The case will be referred to DuPage County Juvenile Court, police said.

Darien police have confirmed that the 17 year old is a male student from unincorporated Burr Ridge.

A 17-year-old Hinsdale South High School student has been charged under a juvenile petition with disorderly conduct, after the student brought a BB gun to school March 25, according to Darien police.

Another student came forward to school staff to report the 17-year-old student had brought a weapon to school, according to a Hinsdale High School Township District 86 news release.

Police said a broken BB gun was found among the student’s things, and the situation was resolved without incident.
