The Sunday Funnies: Inside the Cartoonist's World
Clarendon Hills Library welcomes cartoonist Richard Pietrzyk
On Saturday, February 28th at 2 pm, the Clarendon Hills Library welcomes cartoonist and local resident Richard Pietrzyk for an insider’s view of the world of the creators of “The Sunday Funnies.”
Besides sharing his own experiences drawing for such famous comics as Dick Tracy, Brenda Starr, Archie and Katy Keene, Pietrzyk will also talk about the history of comic strips (including many vintage images) and provide a look inside the studios of Mort Walker (Beetle Bailey), Milton Caniff (Terry & the Pirates), Charles Schulz (Peanuts) and others.
