• More Gaming Machines Damaged In Latest Smash & Grab, This Time In Lockport: Sheriff (patch.com) — Early Tuesday, a suspicious car was reported at Lenny's Gas N' Wash near Homer Glen just minutes before burglars smashed gaming machines at Rocco's Pub in nearby Lockport. Deputies and Lockport police are investigating whether the masked suspects and dark sedan seen at both locations are connected, and are working with other agencies to track similar smash-and-grab cases.
   

• Southland crime: Naked hiker spotted in Oak Lawn, and more (chicagotribune.com) — A Homer Glen resident is among several people facing charges in a wide-ranging Southland crime roundup, including an aggravated battery to a peace officer case headed to Will County court. The report also details incidents from Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Joliet and other nearby communities, giving residents a broader picture of recent arrests, DUIs, thefts and slot-machine burglaries across the region.
