Do you prefer a creative or digital calendar?
Making some HOMEMADE HAPPINESS by creating handmade calendar pages.

Like so many people I prefer to use my smart phone to keep track of any appointments or meetings. It’s so easy to use and will even remind me to mail a birthday card or get to my dentist. This digital life has made the clutter in my kitchen a bit less; no more wall calendar to mark this and that event. But my kitchen is also a bit less colorful.
Instead of buying a calendar, I’m creating my own. Each month, developing a new design will challenge my creative spirit. I am making a bit of HOMEMADE HAPPINESS. January 2015’s image highlights the baby New Year, the passing from midnight to dawn and father time crowning the New Year.
Though I’m a graphic artist and well versed in the Adobe products, I often enjoy making art by hand. There is something interesting in marks made by hand, which cannot be fully emulated by digital products. For these, I plan to use traditional media, pen and ink, watercolor, colored pencils etc. Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I have enjoyed the creative process.
