2.5 Ton Troop Carrier Stolen from Army Training Center

The offender and vehicle may be en route to West Chicago.

A two-and-a-half ton partially armored Oshkosh US troop carrier has been stolen, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

The alleged theft occurred at the US Army Reserve Training Center on Arsenal Road in Wilmington, according to a Radioman911 Facebook post. The official was unable to provide more information, but said more details should be announced by Monday.

The troop carrier has an “A452” marking on the front bumper and rear, according to the Facebook post, and the offender and vehicle may be en route to West Chicago. Police have a person in mind and a clothing description of what he or she may be wearing.
