Brooke Hernandez Brewer Appointed to Joliet City Council
"We are going to take Joliet to another level," she said.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Brooke Hernandez Brewer during its Tuesday night meeting.
Brewer will replace former At-Large Councilman Jim McFarland who resigned from the position in order to move to Frankfort.
“Brooke, you said something last night. You said you’re a fighter and I am as well,” Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman said before voting aye. “I’m sure you’re going to fit right into this council.”

Brewer ended her speech by promising to be an honest politician.
“You may see me on Monday and I may tell you one thing and something may change my mind in the process and I may have to do something different. But then I owe you an explanation and I will give you one,” she said, adding she will fight harder than anyone can imagine. “We are going to take Joliet to another level.”
