JOLIET, IL — On Tuesday, the Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow filed three felony drug dealing charges against 41-year-old Terrance Brooks Sr., who runs the Brooks Barbershop in the 2200 block of West Jefferson Street. Brooks was arrested Monday night by Joliet police, who also raided his business. Brooks was initially arrested on seven preliminary charges of possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver, jail logs show.

According to Tuesday's formal criminal complaint, Brooks is accused of knowingly and unlawfully delivering between 1 and 15 grams of cocaine on Dec. 17, Dec. 30 and Jan. 2.

Jail logs indicate Brooks was admitted into the Will County Adult Detention Facility around 7:20 p.m. Brooks will go before a judge for a bail hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Brooks cooperated with their investigation, directing them to where they would find the cocaine, Patch previously reported. In 2014, Brooks reached a plea bargain with prosecutors and received a two-day jail sentence, two years probation and 30 hours of public service. Brooks also has a December 2016 criminal case of manufacturing cocaine that is still pending at the courthouse and has a court hearing set for Wednesday, Jan. 15, court files show.
