Convicted Thief Stole Goodwill Merchandise: Complaint
Bennie Lee Williams, 61, has remained in Will County's jail since his arrest on Oct. 13.

JOLIET, IL - A 61-year-old Joliet man who lives in the 500 block of South Briggs Street has been accused of stealing dolls and DVDs from the Goodwill store near the Louis Joliet Mall. Bennie Lee Williams Jr. has been incarcerated at the Will County Jail since his Oct. 13 arrest on domestic battery charges.
Then, on Oct. 18, the Joliet Police Department filed a felony criminal complaint against Williams charging him with retail theft.
On Sept. 29, Williams entered the Goodwill store in Joliet and he stole "DVDs and dolls," court documents state. Williams is a convicted thief. He was convicted at the Will County Courthouse back in 2006 of theft, court documents state.

The defendant's bail was set at $10,000, but Williams remains unable to come up with $1,000 to post as bond.
