Joliet Teen Charged With Decatur Murder

The teen was captured at his Elizabeth Street home Monday evening.

A Joliet teen wanted for a Downstate murder was captured at his Elizabeth Street home Monday evening, police said.

Jevon Barber, 18, was apprehended by the Joliet police. He was turned over to the Decatur police and was booked into the Macon County jail.

The Decatur police had been investigating Barber for murder, said Joliet Police Chief Brian Benton. The Decatur police did not immediately respond to requests for information on the case.
