JOLIET, IL — Joliet police have charged two teenagers who police say were responsible for spraying thousands of dollars of food, produce, clothing and health and beauty products with cans of Lysol on Sunday at the Walmart on Route 59.
One of the teens wore a mask and had a handmade sign taped to his back that declared, "Caution I have the Coronavirus," Joliet police said Tuesday.
Joliet resident Tyler D. Wallace, 19, who lives in the 1200 block of Briargate Avenue, was booked Thursday and taken to the Will County Jail on charges of criminal trespass to property, disorderly conduct and retail theft.

"Wallace was identified as being the subject who was wearing the medical mask with a sign on his back while spraying Lysol on products and produce. After reviewing the facts, the Will County State's Attorney’s Office determined there was enough probable cause for the issuance of a complaint warrant for Wallace," police said.
Wallace turned himself in at the Joliet Police Department on Thursday.
