Korean BBQ Restaurant Nears Opening In Downtown Joliet
Joliet Patch recently toured the restaurant to inspect the progress.

JOLIET, IL - In recent months, Joliet Patch brought you an exclusive story regarding plans to open a first-of-its-kind authentic Korean barbecue restaurant in downtown Joliet. For much of this summer, contractors have been going at it nonstop remodeling the building in the 200 block of North Chicago Street. It had heavy fire damage in January 2017. Recently, the K Ribs BBQ sign was erected on the main storefront.
Joliet Patch met with one of the investors for an update. K Ribs BBQ is now targeting late August for a soft opening and hopes to be serving a steady stream of hungry customers around Labor Day in September. K Ribs BBQ will feature dining, carryout and delivery. The restaurant intends to deliver within a 15-mile span of downtown Joliet, Dillon Kim, one of the key investors in K Ribs BBQ, told Joliet Patch.
K Ribs is a couple doors up the block from Juliet's Tavern and right next to Joliet Junior College's six-story Culinary Arts Building.
