Nightmare on Hickory Street Gals Got 'Bogus' Deal, Says Josh Miner, Even the Woman Doing Just 5 Years
The women had nothing to do with the murders, said Josh Miner, who blamed the victims for getting killed.

The two women charged with the Nightmare on Hickory Street murders got a “bogus” deal, even the one who turned on her friends and was given just five years in prison for her guilty plea.
“She should have been given a better deal, because that s--- was bogus,” Miner said of Alisa Massaro, 21, who escaped the murder case by pleading guilty to robbery and concealing homicides.
Miner, 26, Massaro, Bethany McKee, 20, and Adam Landerman, 21, all were charged with murdering 22-year-olds Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover in January 2013. Miner and McKee were found guilty and are doing life in prison. Landerman is still waiting for his trial to start.

Patch interviewed Miner at maximum security Menard Correctional Center and he shared his thoughts on the killings, his life and the man and women arrested along with him for allegedly murdering Rankins and Glover. This is the third in a series of videos made of Miner’s interview. Warning: Some of the videos include graphic descriptions of sexual situations and violence, and Miner occasionally uses obscenities. While Miner thought it was bad enough that Massaro got five years in prison, he said it was a travesty that McKee got life, particularly when she never actually killed anyone or took part in planning the murders.

“And the Bethany girl, I really think that she should have got a deal or something like … just the robbery or conspiracy or something,” Miner said. “She shouldn’t have to be charged with both bodies.”
In fact, Miner said, there was no plan at all.
“That’s straight bulls---,” he said.
“It was the guy’s idea, technically,” Miner said of Rankins. “The guy kept calling and texting her.”
Miner said Rankins’ and Glover’s behavior provoked him. He claims he ordered them to leave Massaro’s house and then fought one of them when they refused to go.
Miner said he and Landerman ended up killing Rankins and Glover during the fight. But as far as Massaro and McKee’s involvement, “They had nothing to do with nothing.”
Editor’s note: Due to a camera malfunction, the audio feed on the original video becomes muted at 1:34. The entire audio clip is available on the second video along with a still image of Miner.
