Maria De Los Angeles Sanchez

Maria De Los Angeles Sanchez, age 73, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 6, 2021.

She was born November 9, 1947 to the late Felipe Rodriguez and Louisa Balcazar in Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico. She married Angel Sanchez on November 29, 1962 in Mexico. In January of 1978, they immigrated to the United States with their young and growing family.

Maria lived her life for her family. She had a smile and personality that radiated kindness. She believed in keeping a “polished appearance” and made sure everyone knew they were loved.

Maria is the loving mother of Miguel (Olivia) Sanchez, Patricia (Jose) Alarcon, Maria Sanchez, Lorena (Mohammad) Al-Taraireh, and Brenda Sanchez (David Martinez) Beloved grandmother of Michael and Brandon Sanchez, Jose and Christine Alarcon, Jacqueline, Stephanie, Madeline, and Emily Guzman-Sanchez, Alexander and Isaac Al-Taraireh, David and Andrew Martinez; adoring great-grandmother of Penelope Sofia Olin-Alarcon and Angelo Martinez;

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Angel Sanchez and her parents.

Visitation for Maria Sanchez will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Funeral services will be Friday, September 10, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 404 N. Hickory St., Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Face masks will be required for all in attendance at the funeral home and church.
