Barnes & Noble Disorderly Conduct Arrest Involves Joliet Man With Barnes As Last Name: Police (patch.com) — Joliet readers are learning more about a familiar name after police arrested 45-year-old Jarrod "Luckey" Barnes at the Barnes & Noble on Plainfield Road, accusing him of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. Officers say he refused to leave after using profane and racially offensive language that alarmed staff and customers, and he was processed at the Joliet Police Department and released on a notice to appear.
   

2. 2 Tasers Used On Angry, Combative, Fighting Man During His Arrest At Fenton's Motel Parking Lot: Police (patch.com) — People in Joliet are hearing how a 41-year-old Crest Hill man faces multiple felony counts after police say a retail theft at the Walgreens on West Jefferson escalated into a violent confrontation. Officers report using two Tasers to subdue him in the Fentons Motel parking lot on West Jefferson before taking him to the Will County Adult Detention Facility on warrants.
   

3. Popular Bar, Liquor Store That 'Has Proudly Served Joliet's West Side For 15-Plus Years' For Sale (patch.com) — A longtime west side Joliet staple, The Stadium Sports Bar and its adjacent liquor and tobacco store on West Jefferson Street are up for sale as a business-only deal for $489,900. The listing highlights recent remodeling, multiple gaming and liquor licenses, and a favorable long-term lease, all positioned along a revitalized Joliet commercial corridor with heavy daily traffic and strong growth potential.

Laraway Road Railroad Overpass Bridge: Joliet Reveals 'Location Is One Of The Most Challenging In State' (patch.com) — Drivers on Joliet's far east side could see relief as the city advances engineering work for a Laraway Road overpass near CenterPoint, one of Illinois' most challenging rail crossings. The project would elevate Laraway over the tracks, widen it to four lanes, and add a multi-use path, aiming to improve safety and traffic flow for commuters and freight serving Joliet's major employers.

Overnight Home Invasion In Joliet: 'Thank You To Minooka Police Department For Their Vital Assistance' (patch.com) — Residents in Joliet's Ruth Fitzgerald Drive neighborhood woke to news of an overnight home invasion that led to the arrest of a Plainfield man after a police search stretching to Caton Farm and Drauden roads. Joliet officers, aided by a Minooka K9 unit, say the suspect entered a woman's home without permission, allegedly assaulted her, damaged property, and was later taken into custody and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
