West Side Man Can't Stop His Domestic Violence: JPD
Douglas Yates' hot temper continues to lead to repeated arrests by the Joliet police force, according to the latest arrest reports.

JOLIET, IL — For the third time since last June, Joliet police officers have captured 43-year-old west side resident Douglas Yates and delivered him to the Will County Jail to face felony domestic battery charges. After Yates' second arrest, on Aug. 12, he remained in custody through the end of November.
The latest arrest and detention took place last week on Feb. 28. Yates was booked into custody for aggravated domestic battery.

At 7:16 p.m., officers responded to a house in the 700 block of Oneida Street for a domestic disturbance. Officers learned that during an argument, Yates began choking a woman.
A struggle between the two ensued and the victim escaped the attack. Yates was on the scene and was taken into custody without incident.

On June 15, Joliet Patch reported that bail has been set at $50,000 for a 42-year-old Joliet man from the St. Pat's Neighborhood Area in connection with allegations that Douglas Yates violently attacked a pregnant woman and refused to let her leave his apartment unit, arrest logs show.
On Aug. 14, Patch reported that for the second time this summer, Joliet police have arrested 42-year-0ld Douglas Yates in connection with a domestic disturbance, the latest incident happened inside a guest room at the Star Inn at 2219 1/2 West Jefferson Street, arrest reports show. Yates, who comes from an apartment unit in the 100 block of Illinois Street, now has a $100,000 bail after facing charges of domestic battery and obstruction of justice.
