Woman Expected To Survive Latest Crest Hill Shooting
Crest Hill Police Ed Clark gave an update on the criminal investigation.

CREST HILL, IL — A 36-year-old woman who lives in the 1800 block of Highland Avenue is expected to recover from Friday night's shooting at her house in Crest Hill, Police Chief Ed Clark told Patch. The gunman remains at large, police acknowledged, however, the Crest Hill Police force does not believe the non-fatal shooting was a random crime.
Clark told Patch the shooting victim "is expected to be OK." She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Clark expressed optimism about the prospects of making an arrest in the coming days. "We have some good leads that we're working on," Clark explained.
