Gun Pointed At La Grange Clerk's Head: Cops

The suspect demanded, "Money, money, money," according to the police report.

LA GRANGE, IL – A man placed a bottle of Coke and $5 on the counter for a clerk late last month at the 7-Eleven store at 9600 E. Ogden Ave., La Grange police said.

The clerk took the money and opened the cash register, according to a police report obtained through Patch's public records request. It was shortly before midnight July 26.

The suspect then demanded, "Money, money, money." He pulled out a small gray gun and pointed it toward the left side of the clerk's head, police said.

The clerk then stepped back and raised his hands, while the suspect stole $500 and put it in his pockets, police said.

In an interview with police, the clerk said he had worked at the store for about a month and saw the suspect a week earlier.

The suspect was described as black, 5-foot-9 to 6-foot-2, 170 to 250 pounds, having a tattoo on his left arm and hand, and wearing a black T-shirt and a baseball cap.

Armed robberies also occurred at the same 7-Eleven on Nov. 27, Jan. 15 and March 3, according to police reports.
