La Grange Names New Deputy Police Chief
Longtime officer is appointed to a position left vacant by retiring deputy chief.
LA GRANGE, IL — The La Grange Police Department has a new deputy police chief, the village announced this week. Sgt. David Rohlicek has been promoted to the department's second-ranking position.
Rohlicek has been with the department for 28 years. He is filling a position left vacant by the retirement of Andy Peters, who served the department for 24 years.
With the La Grange police, Rohlicek has been an investigator, a field training officer and a DARE instructor, among other roles.

He holds a bachelor's degree in law enforcement administration. He is preparing to graduate later this month from the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command.
Rohlicek is expected to be sworn in at a Village Board meeting on Oct. 26.
