International Crane Foundation Exec To Speak At Lake Forest Country Day School

Scientist will be the next to visit school on "Scientist-in-Residence Day."

Now in its fifth year honoring former Science department chair Dave Genger’s passion for learning and teaching, Lake Forest Country Day School is planning their “Scientist-in-Residence Day.”

Since 2011, LFCDS has hosted a handful of scientists who have educated students on career fields ranging from environmental study to holography at this cherished event, scheduled for Monday, April 27 this year.

This year, the school will host George Archibald, executive director of the International Crane Foundation.

Archibald will address the school on important scientific topics as they relate to conservation and responsible, environmental awareness. He will also educate the school and guests on the impact that ICF is making in the scientific community.

“What makes this special day so unique is the personal connection that many students are able to make with the scientists, who spend much of their time telling students how they got involved in science,” according to a school news release.
