What's All the Talk About?

The League of Women Voters - Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area encourages you to find out the results from the City of Lake Forest’s Sustainability Survey. Please attend the Sustainability Planning Community Forum on Wed. Oct. 21, from 7:00 to 8:30pm at the Gorton Community Center. Hundreds of residents completed the survey this summer, and now the results are in. Representatives from the Lake Forest Collaborative for Environmental Leadership will lead discussions about issues covered in the survey. If you are concerned about stormwater and its affects, ravine destruction, waste management, renewable energy, or air quality, the forum will provide an opportunity to learn more, help the City develop a Lake Forest Sustainability Plan, and prioritize future initiatives. The League has a long history of concern about environmental issues and sustainability, and supports the City’s efforts in developing a Sustainability Plan.
