Cubs Postseason History 101: The NBC sitcom "Punky Brewster" filmed an episode set during the 1984 NLCS between the Cubs and San Diego Padres. The episode used footage from the Chicago's 13-0 win in Game 1 (as well as an incongruous, blink-and-you'll-miss-it clip from a Padres home game) during a montage sequence of Punky and Henry — both big Cubs fans — watching the game from the Wrigley Field home dugout. NBC aired the episode Oct. 21, two weeks after the Padres won the NLCS and eliminated the Cubs from the postseason.
