Cubs Postseason History 101: The Cubs haven't played in many sixth games of a postseason series and when they have, it hasn't ended well for the North Siders. Saturday's game will be only the second time Chicago has played in an NLCS Game 6. The other time was, of course, in 2003, and everyone knows how that turned out. In the World Series, the Cubs have reached Game 6 on four occassions, and they've gone 1-3 in those games. Their single win, 8-7, was in 1945 against the Detroit Tigers. Chicago's overall record in the five postseason series that included a Game 6 is 0-5.
