• Fremd Bears down at Lake Zurich behind dominating defense (dailyherald.com) — Lake Zurich High School's football team was shut out 20-0 at home by Fremd in Friday's season opener, spoiling the debut of new Bears coach Dragan Teonic. A dominant Fremd defense forced turnovers, limited Lake Zurich's offense, and returned a fumble for a touchdown, while junior quarterback Will Clark led a balanced Vikings attack.
